Erev sends your family their Shabbos and Yom Tov jobs by text message. These are the terms you agree to when you use it.
You build a list of jobs and say who each one is for and how long before candle lighting it has to be done. Erev works out candle lighting for where you light, texts each person their jobs, and tells you when they reply that they are done.
Erev does not send anything between candle lighting and havdalah. A message that would land inside that window is dropped, not delayed — it is never delivered late. This also covers notifications to your phone. Yom Tov can stretch that window across three days, and Erev accounts for it.
Erev also never schedules a text inside the last 45 minutes before candle lighting.
Candle lighting and havdalah are calculated from your location using published astronomical data and the customary minutes for your city. They are worked out carefully and checked against published calendars, but they are a convenience. Follow your own community's published times and your rov. Erev is not responsible for a time that differs from the one you keep.
The Erev text program sends the people in your household their Shabbos and Yom Tov prep jobs, reminders before each one is due, and a confirmation when they reply DONE. It sends you, the account owner, a note when a job is done or someone replies.
Adding someone to your family does not text them. You send them an invite from your own phone, and Erev texts them only after they text JOIN and their code to Erev and then reply YES. You get texts yourself only if you tick the box for them when you sign up, or join the same way.
Message frequency varies, about 2 to 10 messages a week. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, and START to rejoin.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Erev is free for 14 days. After that it needs a subscription to keep sending. If a subscription ends, your lists and your history stay where they are and you can still read them — Erev simply stops texting until you subscribe again.
You can stop using Erev whenever you like. Email brachafliegelman@gmail.com and we will delete your household, along with your family's numbers and the message history.
Erev is provided as it is, without warranty. We are not liable for anything that does or does not get done, for a message that does not arrive, or for a time that does not match your community's. Carriers can and do delay or drop text messages, and that is outside our control.
